Poker Rules

The rules for poker games vary slightly among different variations. With a few exceptions, the goal is usually to have the highest hand at the end. The most notable exception is Omaha Hi/Low where the lowest hand also shares the pot. The rules of poker typically allow for different betting rounds and different number of community cards.

Poker Hands

Poker hands usually refer to the best hand that can be made with 5 cards, regardless of how many cards one may be able to use to make the hand. 7 card stud is a good example.
